Terms of Service and Rules
Your content is your own, this means that you are responsible for what you post. We (The forum administrators) accept no liability for anything contained in your posts, private messages or user profile that could be defined as "inappropriate", what we define as "inappropriate" is detailed further below.
Whilst the copyright of any content you submit remains yours, we reserve the right to use, publish, re-publish your content in connection with this site. This would most likely be done in the context of moderation, but can be for any reason at the discretion of the administrators. This is a non-exclusive, irrevocable, permanent licence
Please respect the copyright of original content in articles, and as such, avoid quoting entire articles, a quick skim extract and a link to the original source is acceptable. We ask that you observe good 'netiquette' by not hot linking images on our site, this costs the host bandwidth, which isn't really fair. This should answer any doubts surrounding submitted third party content: Can I copy an entire news article from a commercial news web site and post the article on my web site? The fair use doctrine, as currently interpreted by the courts, probably would not entitle you to do so. Even though news items are factual and facts themselves are not protected by copyright, an entire news article itself is expression protected by copyright.
In the interests of promoting an engaging and safe environment, we will remove any content deemed to be "inappropriate", "inappropriate" content includes, but is not limited to: trolling, flaming other members, starting flame wars, or inciting any kind of hatred. The simple application of common sense should answer whether something is appropriate or not.We have forums dedicated to the discussion of sensitive and serious subjects. We promote healthy debate, but please keep your posts respectful. Disagreeing with another member is absolutely fine, but do so in a respectful manner. If something is getting heated, don't take matters into your own hands, nobody likes a "Memberator", simply click on the 'Report' button which can be found on each and every post and the moderating team will take it from there.
We want everybody to be happy and to enjoy using our forum, but we will remind you if you have broken these rules and refer you back to them, but if we keep having to reminding you, then you could see sanctions imposed on your account, and even a ban from using the forum completely. We obviously don't want to do that, so it's far easier to just abide by the rules in the first place. Details on our moderation policy is below
This forum is actively moderated. The moderating team have the power to remove any content that they deem breaks the rules, they may also close/open threads (closing a thread stops further posting within it), issue warnings, sanctions and bans. Moderators operate on common sense, they are members which the administrators entrust based on their contributions to the forum and ability to judge situations. If you believe you have been treated unreasonably, then you can contact the administrators with your concerns. The administrators decision in all cases is final.
If you don't wish to partake in serious or sensitive discussions, then please move onto the next forum, don't judge others.
You are agreeing that by creating a user account, it will be permanent, as will the content you post within it. If you don't want to continue using the forum, then simply log out and stay logged out. We do not remove user accounts under any circumstances.
These rules are subject to change at any time and without notice, at the discretion of the administrators.
All decisions made by the administrators are final.
